Defining the Problem

There aren't many options for students to learn in a fun way. It is always nose-paper, endless assignments, etc.. Commerce Lab is striving to change that. In the realm of business, there are a lot of terms to memorize, and it is so much easier to learn while having a good time. Also, there isn't much access to people who are ACTUALLY successful in the commerce field.

Problem Solution

Commerce Lab is developing a game-like solution to the dull, lifeless study session. They are also working to provide mentoring opportunities so students of commerce can actually pick the brain of someone who is successful.

Font & Color Scheme

The color scheme is more futuristic than the soft pastels of the competition. Since the world is moving toward a tech wonderland, the calming teal and forward-thinking purple, these cool colors were chosen. For font, I kept it clean and simple with Poppins.
User Personas
Minnie
Age: 18
Education: High school graduate
Race: Hispanic
Location: El Paso, Texas
Marital Status: unmarried

Feels: Class is pretty boring. She doesn't feel like learning from a teacher who probably never owned his own business. She has learned more about real business from her relatives. Though, she does want to know more terms and accounting information.

Needs: Minnie wants a fun way to learn the terminology, but she also wants to talk to real business owners. Business is great, in theory, but theories don't equal experience.

Gerry
Age: 16
Education: In High-School
Race: Hispanic
Location: Las Vegas, NV

Feels: Gerry is bored easily. He understands the value of commerce and wants to BE a business owner, but he checks out, mentally, when

Needs: Gerry needs to get down the terms so he can get his business going. He wants to be on Shark Tank, someday, so he needs to be able to answer their spitfire questions.

Taylor
Age: 20
Education: Undergraduate
Race: White
Location: Denver, CO
Marital Status: Married

Feels: Taylor is in college, and he wants to practice terms, but hasn't found any platform that isn't incredibly expensive. He has found some platforms, but they charge a lot and you have to make your own games.

Needs: Something to make learning less boring. It doesn't have to be too elaborate, but he needs MORE for his money.

Allison
Age: 20
Education: Undergraduate
Race: African American
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Marital Status: Unmarried

Feels: Allison has been maintaining high marks her entire school history. She really wants to spread her knowledge in a better way than what is available. On top of high-marks, she also started a small book resale business and has learned a lot. She just needs a platform for her next venture - mentoring.

Needs: A solid platform to be able to share her tutoring abilities.
